Established in 2008, 4finance is one of Europe's largest digital consumer lending groups with operations in 16 countries. Leveraging automation and data-driven insights across the business, 4finance has grown rapidly, issuing over €7 billion since inception in instalment loans, lines of credit and single payment loans.

A former employee in customer service shared in a review "Customer service at 4finance is a nightmare. Be ready to deal with angry customers and trying to solver other's people mistakes. They track the time you are on the phone and your breaks, basically they want you to take exactly 30/15 minutes (nothing more, nothing less). Also, management are unprofessional and change rules every week, be ready to throw out what you just learned. Supervisors are very arrogant, and you are not supposed to do anything (even though you are capable of taking your own decisions) without their approval. You won't get promoted if you are not best friend with one of the managers."

Sales Specialist (Former Employee) says

"Terrible place to work, drama and stress all the time, horrible enviroment with managers and superviser... please dont apply to work in this place... its like a nightmare"

Administration (Current Employee) says

"It's a revolving door of talented people coming on board, becoming discouraged and ultimately leaving or being forced out. Tenured entry level call centre employees stay on due to their earned extra vacation time...new employees rarely last through probation. Lots of potential has been mismanaged."

WFM Analyst (Former Employee) says

"Do yourself a favour and skip this job posting. Cons: All"

Sales Associate (Current Employee) says

"I hope all the recent dismissal of management personal, enjoy the unemployment line. I now believe in karma. These people ruined a fun, easy job, by thinking they know everything, instead of listening to their employees. The best thing st catharines location can do, is to become unionized. Cons: the place itself"

Sales (Current Employee) says

"Where do I begin. The CEO has meetings with us every six months. Mostly to talk about how well the company is doing. I think he forgets that were employees and not the share holders. Basically the meetings are useless. He says if you have any concerns to contact him. Well I have, and its been over a month to hear back. But I doubt he knows what my name is anyway. The job itself is pretty simple, and after awhile its gets so boring. You are calling up people who have filled out for a loan online. The management team in St.Catharines are ok. Most supervisors engage in conversation with there team to ease the stress of the job. We do have one supervisor who still thinks its 1983 by the way she dresses, and likes to micro manage her team ,and bully them. I think she has low self esteem issues. The benefit package they offer sucks. You receive dental after one full year of employment, medical is 80%. If the whole call centre hits target, you can get 60 dollars once a month for bonus. At least with that 60 dollars you can fill up for car with gas for 2 weeks. The only good thing about working at this st catharines location are the people. Theres no room for advancements, even if they tell you so. They always hire from outside. So this job would be just to collect a pay cheque and thats it. Cons: everything"

ADMIN (Former Employee) says

"Good to gain experience. Team work is good. Flexible hours. Cons: Gossip, no direction, pay and benefits low"

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"If you do customer service be ready to deal with angry customers and trying to solver other's people mistakes. You won't get promoted if you are not best friend with one of the managers. Cons: Everything else"

Customer Care Specialist (Former Employee) says

"So many things wrong with this company from what they sell to the managers! All the coworkers are great, make it an inviting atmosphere, however the managers are beyond uninviting. They purposely deduct you points so you don't get a bonus, they punish you for taking sick days. They will come across as wanting your best interest but all they want is sales. Selling loans to people who can't afford them - loans with an interest rate of 720 percent!!! Also, you get paid 14.50 for a job that should be paying at least 17 dollars an hour or more due to the volume of work. Cons: Terrible pay, terrible managers"

Collections Officer (Former Employee) says

"Does not care about employees.. Always looking for reasons to let people go. Do not work there better off on EI . suppise to be scent free encieonment but isnt so if u have allergies you will be sick right away.. Cons: Everything about the company"

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) says

"if you like working in a drama zone, this is the place for you. Typical call centre environment t. Back stabbing, gossip, supervisors having favorites. I wouldnt work here if i didnt have too. The only good thing about this st catharines location are the employees. Cons: benefit package, work enivorment, management team etc etc"

Representative (Former Employee) says

"Typical call center environment and management. Not employee oriented. air conditioning breaks often. no noise in the office which is depressing wish there was a radio."

IT (Former Employee) says

"It has been on a decline for the past 2 years. Numerous people including the CEO have been let go. Moreover, many have resigned, even then the company is firing people constantly. Cons: Pay and benefit package"

Team Leader (Current Employee) says

"Good and friendly place to work, develop as a professional if you are looking to grow within the call center industry or collections industry. The organization and communication is terrible, everyone is working independently it seems, coordination is hard to achieve. They are still growing a lot and new processes and procedures are to be created. Cons: no regard for personal life, changing schedules and shifts"

Customer Care Representative (Former Employee) says

"Company is always doing layoffs, no job security."

Product (Current Employee) says

"Culture needs to be changed from top to bottom. Senor management should listen more to front line managers in terms of improving the culture. Cons: Training and development of employees"

Project Manager (Former Employee) says

"Overall, positive filling, but after a year or two, you understand that nothing moving forward."

Financial Analyst (Former Employee) says

"I joint that comapny as contractor but they only ask me to do stuff and didnt permanent me"

Accounting and Finance (Current Employee) says

"This is a opportunity for someone looking to gain experience. There is high turnover and amounts of lay offs happening within the company. In the past 2 years several restructuring has happened which causes low job security. This review is for the Canada branch in Oakville, Ontario. Cons: Management has no sense of direction and structure, Limited Parking, Low Salary, Low Benefits, Low Vacation (2 weeks), Disapprove of CEO of Branch, No Tuition Reimbursement"

Customer Service (Former Employee) says

"Company has seem to cut back budget and let go of several employees. Management doesn't seem to be on the same page. They certainly try to keep employee moral up by having social days and casual Fridays. A decent entry level job for someone wanting experience."

Former Employee - Marketing Coordinator says

"I worked at 4Finance full-time Cons: Micromanagement. Lack of leadership. Huge turnover"

Current Employee - Software Automation Engineer says

"I have been working at 4Finance full-time for less than a year Cons: Communication with HR department was absolutely terrible. I was accepted for a job 3 month ago and until the beginning I didn't get any instructions or details and in a very first day, they told me that the position is closed and I ended up unemployed."

Current Employee - Product Manager says

"I have been working at 4Finance full-time for more than 5 years Cons: * Parking space is an issue * High employee turnover * Silo communication * Employee morale * Work/ life balance * Lack of direction from leadership"

Former Employee - Middle Level Manager says

"I worked at 4Finance full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Mission, vision... no decision. In fact neither one of mission or vision where in good shape, just "no decision" was. Permanent confrontation between "business" and IT and among different units. Big amount of office politics. Managers were afraid of taking decisions. Messy communication channels. Changing top-management nearly every half-year."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at 4Finance full-time Cons: Financial outlook is terrible. Revolving door of staff. Lack of industry knowledge at the senior leadership level."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at 4Finance full-time for less than a year Cons: Worst corporate culture ever, if you can think of a 'corporate BS' cliche, this is it 100%. Non-competent people taking positions like "head of something" or "senior something" or "chief something", they are not aware of anything what is going on, nor do they care of anything. In general, it was most unprofessional and incompetent collective I ever met in my life. A cherry on a cake, internal company policy approves and officially encourages employees to watch out for colleagues and anonymously report 'inappropriate' behavior by means of special online tool, that was an official message from the CEO. Big brother is watching you. Avoid this company by all means."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at 4Finance full-time Cons: unstable disruptive not an environment for learning poor management"

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at 4Finance full-time Cons: Can't go to the bathroom Schedules- Worse shifts ever"

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I worked at 4Finance full-time for less than a year Cons: - No-go for international employees. Document workflow related to relocation is purely a matter of employee, horrible help from the 'specialist' responsible for relocation there who wasn't able to cope with with 2 expats. - Negative attitude and no respect towards expats. No English language during meetings even if an employee doesn't speak and understand Polish and management clearly knows about that - Very and very high turnover of employees (out of 30 IT specialists around 13 left during the first 3 months I worked here) - Non-caring and irresponsible management and HR - Benefits package"

Former Employee - Product says

"I worked at 4Finance full-time for more than a year Cons: Departments working against each other under senior leadership influence. Senior leadership should take more ownership in cascading the business strategy and setting goals with their direct reports otherwise the business will fail. Improve the overall culture, your employees are walking out the door!!!"
